If you tuned a piano 4 times a year, could it ruin the piano's tone/pitch?

No some pianos are tuned more than that due to them being used more. It just depends on the pianos intended usage. Now if one is not using their piano and it needs tuning that much then there is a problem. The only time an unused piano needs to be tuned 4 times in one year is after it’s been rebuilt or it’s brand new. After the strings are stretched and it’s settled in 2 times a year is adequate.
