Ohhh, say can you see! Do those lyrics ring a bell? You probably have heard them every time you turned on your TV to watch that football game you have been anticipating for the previous week. . We all know the lyrics and we all know the tune, but did we all know that the song, "Star Spangled Banner" was played on a Knabe piano by the one and only Francis Scott Key ?! . Now we do Francis asked the company of Wilhem Knabe (who later partnered with Henry Gaehle) to custom build a "square grand piano" for his house in 1838. *Phew time has passed* [The Piano In Black and White] [The Piano In Color] The piano was used up until Francis died which was in 1843. Though, they dont let the piano just collect dust in his old home. It is now in a hotel located in Memphis, Tennessee. Want to know more? Check out these websites that I got my information from , and remember to come back for more info about your favorite pianos like: Baldwins, Chickerings, and More! www.knabepianos.com/history.phpwww.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1302920/Francis%20Scott%20Key
